It is about 10 years ago that we installed smoke detectors in each apartment.
Now is the time to check and replace the batteries. The apartment owner is responsible for this.
Investigations have shown that too many smoke detectors do not work because old batteries not being replaced. It is important that you regularly, for example once a month, check your smoke detector by pressing the test button.
There has been a requirement for smoke detectors in all newly built houses since 1999. For houses that were built before, there is general advice that says there should be smoke detectors in all houses.
The condo plans to replace all smoke detectors in the apartments during 2025.
